What is included in the managed hosting service?
Our managed hosting includes a dedicated Odoo instance on EU-based servers, automated daily backups with 30-day retention, SSL certificate management, security patching, uptime monitoring, and support in English and German.
Can I migrate from Odoo.sh to your hosting?
Yes. We handle the full migration — database export, filestore transfer, environment configuration, custom module deployment, and DNS cutover — with minimal downtime. The migration window is typically a few hours, scheduled outside your business hours.
How are backups handled and how often?
Backups run automatically every day. We retain 30 days of daily backups by default. Both the database and the Odoo filestore are included. Backups are stored separately from the primary server and tested regularly.
Can I install custom Odoo modules on your hosting?
Yes — fully supported on all plans. Unlike Odoo Online or Odoo.sh, our managed hosting places no restrictions on custom modules, third-party addons, or external integrations. You have full control over what is installed. This is one of the key reasons businesses move to us from Odoo.sh, where library access and external database connections are restricted.
Who handles security patching and server maintenance?
We do — entirely. This is what “managed” means. We handle operating system updates, security patches, Nginx configuration, PostgreSQL maintenance, SSL certificate renewal, and monitoring. You never need to log into a server or manage infrastructure. Security patches are applied promptly when releases are available, and critical patches are applied within 24 hours of release. Maintenance windows are always communicated in advance and scheduled outside business hours.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Pro as my business grows?
Yes. Plan upgrades are straightforward and handled by our team — your Odoo instance is migrated to the new server specification with no disruption to your live environment. We typically schedule upgrades during a low-traffic window and the process takes a few hours. If your requirements exceed the Pro plan, we can also configure a custom setup with the exact CPU, RAM, and storage your business needs.
Where are your servers located?
All our hosting is on servers located in Germany and within the EU. This guarantees GDPR compliance for data residency — your business data never leaves the EU. We can confirm the exact data centre location in writing as part of any hosting agreement.
What uptime do you guarantee?
We guarantee 99.9% uptime on all managed hosting plans. This translates to a maximum of approximately 8.7 hours of unplanned downtime per year. Planned maintenance is always scheduled outside business hours with prior notice.
Is support available in German?
Yes. All support — including hosting incidents, technical assistance, and account communication — is available in both English and German. German-speaking clients can communicate with us entirely in German throughout the project and ongoing support.
Do you support Odoo Community as well as Enterprise?
Yes. We host both Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise on all plans. Odoo.sh only supports Enterprise — we support both. If you are currently on Community and evaluating a move to Enterprise, we can also assist with the edition transition during onboarding. Your Odoo licence (if Enterprise) is purchased directly from Odoo and is separate from the hosting fee.
How do I restore a backup if something goes wrong?
Contact our support team and specify the backup point you want to restore to — we handle the full restoration. We retain 30 days of backups, so you can restore to any point within that window. For critical situations we treat restoration requests as high priority and aim to have your system restored within a few hours. We also strongly recommend testing a restoration periodically; we can arrange a test restore to a staging environment on request.
Is there a setup fee, and can I cancel anytime?
No setup fee on standard plans — you pay the monthly plan price from day one. Plans are billed monthly with no long-term contract required. You can cancel with 30 days’ notice. If you cancel, we provide your full database export and filestore so you can move your Odoo to any other hosting environment without losing anything. We do not hold your data hostage — it is always yours.
